He delivers what he promised. The discussions are quick, to the point, and effective. Okay lets try one more – just to see how systematic professor Paulos really is: What disappointed me about the book was actuall Elgio been through this one two and a half times and still haven’t figured out for whom this book was written.

Even truth does not really matter or care: Most of the refutations aren’t original, but Paulos doesn’t claim they are – he just thinks it’d be useful to have them all in one place. Paulos goes through these arguments one after the other, first documenting the form of the argument itself before discussing how the argument holds up.

Paulos conflates the idea of explanation with the idea of meaning, thus missing the richness of life. In each chapter, Paulos picks up a famous argument for God’s existence, then states the almost-as-famous refutation in his own words.

It is short, laa with a sometimes humorous angle.
